We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Case Manager - Bed Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing an interdisciplinary process for evaluating the options and services required to meet an individual's healthcare needs upon admission to our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Admissions Coordination: Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions process to ensure timely and efficient placement of patients in the most appropriate beds.
- Bed Management: Collaborate with nursing units, environmental services, emergency department, surgery department, cardiac catheterization lab, registration, and physicians to assign patients to beds based on their admitting diagnoses.
- Quality Indicators: Track and analyze data related to types of admissions, bed placement delays, and other quality metrics to inform process improvements.
- Licensure and Certification: Current GA RN license and BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in an acute care setting, and a minimum of 1 year in case management, utilization management, or discharge planning.
