CNC Metal Cutter

Infra-Metals: South Florida is seeking an experienced CNC Burning Machine Operator to join our team. As a leading provider of value-added processing services and metal products, we offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Overview:

We are looking for candidates with previous experience operating Plate Burning Machines (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel) in a steel service center or fabrication environment. Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus. The ideal candidate will have the technical knowledge and ability to properly set up and operate the machine, manage their time wisely to complete orders, and meet size and tolerance requirements stated in processing work orders.

Responsibilities:

• Read, write, and understand English language
• Read, understand, and comprehend written work instructions
• Read, understand, and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings
• Display ability to accurately use essential measuring devices, including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
• Display ability to use manual hand tools, including wrenches and clamps
• Ability to stand, lift, climb, and perform various physical functions
• Able to work any shift and hours required
• Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
• Works and coordinates with multiple areas of the warehouse and coworkers to complete tasks
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures
• Safety sensitive to their safety and that of others' safety
• Demonstrated initiative to seek out work and complete tasks proactively
• Enthusiastic team player with motivating, positive attitude
• Committed to workplace of culture and respect
• Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
• May be required to work overtime and weekends as assigned (depending on business needs)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Must be able to lift 70lbs and withstand physical demands of erecting steel
• Minimum 1 year Steel processing or warehousing or 2-3 years experience with other CNC type processing applications

Estimated Salary:$65,000 - $80,000 per year
