Position OverviewRole Summary
- Serve as a pivotal member of the application team focused on customer care.
- Oversee quality assurance testing for extensive eCommerce web applications and software tools.
- Drive continuous improvement in integration processes and innovative practices.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and automated test cases.
- Identify enhancements for the software development lifecycle.
- Diagnose critical software defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers and engineers to ensure extensive code coverage.
- Provide mentorship to offshore team members.
- Engage in collaborative testing efforts with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated QA testing for customer service applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance the release process.
- Create and manage test plans, cases, and execution passes.
- Conduct manual testing as necessary throughout development cycles.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Java coding and test automation tool development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Enthusiastic about utilizing tools to enhance application quality.
- Proficient in popular testing frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with database technologies, including Oracle and MySQL.
- Familiarity with web technologies, including HTTP headers and verbs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Position duration: Long-term.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins and Maven.
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly GIT.
- Familiarity with code quality governance tools such as Sonar, Gerrit, and JIRA.
- Strong collaboration skills with infrastructure engineering teams.
