Job Summary

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Taylorsville, NC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for administering standard Respiratory Care, evaluating medical orders, and performing invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respiratory Care Administration: Administer standard Respiratory Care, including aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, arterial cannulation, and arterial punctures.
  • Medical Order Evaluation: Evaluate the appropriateness of medical orders and ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Procedural Skills: Perform invasive procedures, including arterial blood gas acquisition and endotracheal intubation.
  • Team Collaboration: Serve as a member of the code/emergency team and participate in clinical rounds with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive patient care, including airway management, tracheostomy care, and ventilator management.
  • Education and Training: Maintain and improve job knowledge and skills, and serve as a resource to other staff members.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Licensure/Certification: North Carolina State Licensure, Registry RRT/CRT by the National Association for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in Respiratory therapy.
