Job Summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a primary care specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, working under physician oversight as required by state regulation. Your expertise will be utilized to develop and implement patient-centered plans of care, collaborating with physicians, patients, consultants, nurses, and other healthcare providers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history, perform patient assessments, and order diagnostic studies as needed.
  • Develop and implement patient-centered plans of care, collaborating with healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Provide direct patient care, including preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and treatment of acute and chronic disease conditions.
  • Manage health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient medical records, maintaining all required reports, records, and statistics.
  • Work in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Base pay is commensurate with experience.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
