Bilingual Chef Instructor

Common Threads is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual Chef Instructor to join our team in the Pittsburgh, PA area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching hands-on cooking classes and nutrition education to K-8th grade students, parents, and teachers in school kitchens and community spaces.

• Teach cooking skills and nutrition education to students and parents in a fun and engaging way
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Work with schools and community partners to establish relationships and promote our programs
• Administer pre-and post-surveys to students and families and manage paperwork as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience teaching cooking classes or nutrition education
• Fluency in Spanish and English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
