Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Regional Float Pool team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgical teams during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile equipment and supplies.
  • Pass instruments and equipment to surgeons and nurses as needed, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
Requirements
  • 1 year minimum of hospital surgical tech experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program.
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association.

The pay rate for this position is $26.36/Hr. to $43.12/Hr., with opportunities for evening, night, and weekend differentials. You will work one of four zones, determined by your home location, and must be able to travel to the 4 hospitals within that zone.
