Travel - Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Shift: Days / 7a-5p, 10x4, 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

Qualifications:
- California license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- BLS or HS-BLS or RQI BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream ACLS or RQI ACLS certification
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification
- ARRT-R certification
- Current Fluoroscopy license
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred
- Preferred: 1 year of catheterization experience

Position Overview:

Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular disorders by performing both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests. Operate x-ray and physiological equipment, and support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while maintaining equipment and documenting test results.


Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians during procedures, ensuring all special procedure equipment is operated effectively and technical factors are adjusted as necessary.
- Serve as a resource for complex procedures, applying knowledge to enhance practice and sharing insights with team members.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards and maintaining proper sterile techniques.
- Manage all cardiac catheterization equipment, including C-Arm and angiographic injectors, and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and during patient monitoring throughout catheterization processes.
- Complete all necessary documentation before and after special procedures, ensuring accurate charge recording and maintaining a clean and stocked work environment.
- Fulfill additional job-related duties as assigned.
