Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct valuations analysis and control functions, including daily mark-to-market and pricing analysis across various asset classes, such as equities, bonds, and derivatives.
  • Investigate and analyze pricing and valuation discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with clients to address P&L inquiries and resolve issues related to potentially mispriced assets.
  • Identify and escalate significant discrepancies to clients' valuation committees or equivalent authorities.
  • Deliver and support clients' use of both standard and customized valuation reporting.
  • Assist clients in evaluating and assessing pricing sources.
  • Coordinate with trade operations and fund accounting teams to ensure timely delivery of fund NAVs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Train valuations staff on valuation methodologies and procedures.
  • Utilize SS&C's proprietary software applications effectively, including trade capture and reporting systems.
  • Contribute to the production of management information reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in valuations or a similar area.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of financial markets and the behavior of financial instruments, including equities, options, and fixed income products.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive team player with a flexible and professional attitude, capable of interacting with senior management.
