Senior Interior Designer Job Description

Interior Resources Group is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team. As a leading furniture dealership and Kimball International Select Pro dealer, we work with a diverse range of clients, from local businesses to global corporations.

The Senior Interior Designer will report directly to the President and be responsible for working on multiple assignments with overlapping schedules, requiring strong multitasking skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales team and end users to determine factors affecting workspace planning based on preferences, purpose, and function.
  • Manage space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings, both new and existing, and finish and color coordination.
  • Develop detailed product specifications, product renderings, and presentation materials to support the sales process.
  • Proficiency in CET and Microsoft Office programs, with Adobe Photoshop skills a plus.
  • Possess a degree in Interior Design from an accredited University, with a strong understanding of accessibility codes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, proportions, and percentages, using basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Requirements:
  • At least 3+ years' experience in interior design in the commercial furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in CET is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with others.
