Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the admission process of residents, including reception and data collection.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver direct care, ensuring residents' personal hygiene, safety, and comfort.
- Support residents during meal times, including preparation and feeding assistance.
- Facilitate the safe transport of residents within the facility.
- Collect and handle specimens as required.
- Respond promptly to call bells and alarms, ensuring residents' needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' vital signs, intake, and other essential health information.
- Assist nursing staff in preparing residents for examinations and treatments.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in Long Term Care in New York State.
- Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Ability to understand medical terminology.
Compensation:
The pay for this position ranges from $23.11 to $27.90 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Please note that this range does not include potential bonuses or additional compensation.
