We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at AvantStay. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our short-term rental properties and boutique hotels.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with our Area Manager and Hotel General Manager to resolve maintenance issues and ensure the smooth operation of our properties.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing furniture, unclogging drains, and painting, to keep our properties in excellent condition.
  • Prioritize and proactively address maintenance issues before guest arrival and during their stay, if necessary.
  • Spend approximately 80% of your time performing hands-on maintenance tasks.
  • Support local managers by assigning work to third-party vendors as needed, and assist with obtaining quotes for maintenance work.
  • Thoroughly document all maintenance and billing details in our task management system.
  • Ensure organization and upkeep of supplies in storage, including tools, furniture, and heating and cooling items.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new properties, performing general maintenance and installing basic security components.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in property management, hotel, or apartment complex maintenance.
  • Detailed understanding of property upkeep tasks and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pool, HVAC, and landscaping work.
  • Tech-savviness to troubleshoot technology issues and comfort navigating apps to document work.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and spend extended periods on your feet.
  • Self-sufficiency and ability to independently complete jobs.
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Ability to access the market by car within 20-30 minutes.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate weekends, holidays, and business needs.
