Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive General Service Technician to join our team at Monro. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including tire services, vehicle maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform tire services, including wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks, such as lubrications, oil changes, and basic maintenance (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements).
  • Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
  • Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
  • Perform general store duties, ensuring the store is in excellent condition and maintained to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness.
  • Adhere to Monro's safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
  • Test drive vehicles in accordance with Monro's Road Test policy, utilizing dedicated test drive routes while observing local traffic and safety laws.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities through timely completion of Monro University training courses and modules.
  • Operate, utilize, and maintain all equipment in a safe manner, following Monro and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Automotive training, including basic car maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Basic set of tools or participation in Monro's tool purchase program.
