Weld Trainee Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Weld Trainee to join our team at QPS Employment Group. As a Weld Trainee, you will be responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding tasks according to instructions and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks with precision and accuracy
  • Weld tanks to meet industry standards
  • Ensure tanks are leak-proof and pressure-tested
  • Check holds for proper placement
  • Read blueprints for accurate procedures
  • Perform precision smoothing, polishing, or grinding of stainless steel objects
Requirements:
  • Some welding experience, preferably in MIG welding
  • Some industrial experience is preferred
  • Able to work in a hot environment
  • Able to bend, reach, and stoop as needed
  • May choose to lift parts for easier access
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must wear steel-toed boots
  • Adhere to dress code
