We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Family Birth Center at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, Washington.
About the Role:
This position involves delivering care to women with low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, conducting maternal-fetal assessments, and providing nursing support during labor and delivery. The successful candidate will also be responsible for caring for post-surgical patients and assisting the anesthesiologist with epidural insertions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough maternal-fetal assessments to identify potential complications.
- Provide individualized care to laboring patients, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management techniques.
- Stabilize and transition normal newborns at delivery, ensuring a smooth transition to the postpartum unit.
- Circulate and scrub for cesarean sections, adhering to strict surgical protocols.
- Care for post-surgical patients, monitoring their condition and providing necessary interventions.
- Assist the anesthesiologist with epidural insertions, maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience or completion of a Mother/Baby Education program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification, with quarterly RQI competency certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) completion within 6 months of hire.
- National Certification Corporation (NCC) or American Nurses Credentialing Center certification preferred.
What We Offer:
$42.43 - $71.67 per hour, depending on experience.
