Job Summary

As a Porter at SpaceX, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our private restaurant. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.
  • Supply Management: Assist with restocking supplies and ensuring that our inventory is accurately managed.
  • Task Completion: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Safety and Security: Adhere to company safety standards at all times and be mindful of the safety of other team members and guests.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate job duties with other team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening.
  • Inventory Management: Put food orders away accurately, rotate stock using the first-in-first-out method, and monitor shelf life and code dates.
  • Equipment Operation: Maintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the restaurant.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager on duty.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a restaurant, warehouse, or customer service environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Restaurant Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant setting.
  • Porter Experience: Experience in a porter or similar role.
  • Inventory Experience: Experience with inventory management.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Food Handler Card: Current and valid food handler card or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry heavy items (up to 45 lbs.) and stand for long periods (up to 8-10 hours a day).
  • Availability: Willingness to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
