Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to support the preparation of nutritious meals within our kitchen environment. The successful candidate will engage in essential kitchen operations, including organizing workstations and ingredients to ensure that meals are prepared according to established recipes. An effective culinary professional will exhibit speed, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal individual will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and collaborate effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the preparation list established by the kitchen management to organize daily tasks
- Systematically label and stock all ingredients for optimal organization and accessibility
- Accurately measure ingredients and seasonings required for meal preparation
- Prepare cooking components by washing and chopping vegetables, and cutting meats
- Perform basic cooking tasks such as reducing sauces and parboiling items
- Prepare simple dishes including salads and main courses
- Maintain a hygienic and orderly kitchen by washing utensils, sanitizing surfaces, and managing waste
- Ensure proper storage of all food and related items
- Adhere to nutritional and sanitation standards
- Carry out additional kitchen duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in a culinary role
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in food preparation
- Manual dexterity for operating kitchen tools and equipment
- Team-oriented with strong communication abilities
- Ability to maintain composure and positivity in high-pressure situations
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Culinary training is advantageous
Remote work is not an option for this position.
