Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our team at UMC Health System. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for installing and repairing locks and doors, as well as performing fire and safety inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a master key system and record system for keys issued.
  • Maintain requisitions of new purchases, and inventory of supplies and equipment including key blanks, lock parts, knobs, and cylinders.
  • Install and/or repair new or defective door cylinders.
  • Rekey locks, repair door closures/hinges, and all related door hardware.
  • Perform inspections of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, smoke doors, and alarms.
  • Perform monthly preventive maintenance on all exterior doors, locking devices, and inspections of key pad codes.
  • Perform preventive security changes of key-pad codes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pick locks and make keys from impressions.
  • Organized and able to create and maintain an inventory system.
