Good Samaritan Society-Park River is a 60-bed facility providing both skilled and basic care. Our residents are supported by a dedicated team ensuring continuity of care. The local community features progressive medical facilities, including an eye clinic, dental clinic, and hospital/clinic. The area is known for its excellent recreational opportunities.
Role Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver personalized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and assess care. Demonstrates expertise and practices within the full scope of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards in their assigned clinical setting. Provides care across all phases of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for coordinating care, conducting resident assessments, providing education, and performing various nursing interventions.
May act as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and effective resident care. Provides necessary support to delegates to ensure reliable administration of care and resolution of service concerns. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred, including but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
Must hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Must obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
