Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team at Goodwill of the Olympic and Rainier Region. As a Production Worker, you will play a critical role in processing donated merchandise for resale, ensuring that our stores are stocked with high-quality items for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and price donated items for resale
  • Record and maintain daily production records
  • Place ticketed items on or in appropriate transport containers
  • Monitor and report supply needs to supervisor
  • Ensure the area stays clean, well-organized, and safe
  • Able to work and maintain in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to cross-train in other areas
Product Quality Assurance
  • Inspect, clean, and repair items to be priced and placed on the sales floor
Flexibility
  • Ability to change priorities as business dictates
Product Handling and Sorting
  • Unload sacks, boxes, and miscellaneous donated items from gaylords or donation carts and transport them to proper processing or storage areas
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required
  • Desire to succeed and show up to every shift
  • Ability to be a vital part of a team as well as work individually
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making, and communications skills
  • Superior coaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
