Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our cooks and kitchen staff. Your expertise will be essential in determining how food should be presented and creating decorative food displays that exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
- Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays that meet our high standards.
- Monitor the quantity of food prepared and inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items.
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks and provide them with the necessary items to perform their duties.
- Monitor the stock of kitchen supplies and food and maintain kitchen logs for our food safety program and food products.
- Ensure the quality of food items and notify management if a product does not meet specifications.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
- 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
