Position Overview

This part-time weekend shift role in the Diagnostic Imaging Department focuses on providing exceptional ultrasound services.

The Ultrasound Radiology Technician is accountable for the effective operation of diagnostic ultrasound services, utilizing independent judgment while adhering to established ultrasound protocols and following the guidance of radiologists.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program.
  • Possession of RDMS certification or eligibility for registry.
  • If not yet registered, must achieve ARDMS certification within the first year of employment.
  • Basic communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is necessary.
  • Ability to be on-call and work shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute response time for callbacks.
  • BLS certification for Health Care Providers must be obtained within three months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Additional training in radiologic technology and vascular ultrasound is advantageous.

On-Call/Weekend Requirements: Yes.
