Victoria College seeks experienced Music Instructors to teach bass in the Fall 2024 semester. As a private lesson instructor, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction to students, developing engaging lesson plans, and maintaining a supportive learning environment.
About the RoleWe are looking for candidates who possess a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in music or a Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education. You should have at least 14 undergraduate hours of private lessons in one of the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, or string bass AND 6 semesters playing experience in a college orchestra PLUS at least 2 years professional playing experience in an auditioned group.
A demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse array of students, to the community college mission, and to academic excellence is essential. Local instructors are preferred, but we will consider applicants who can teach via WebEx (real-time remote). Previous college teaching experience is also desirable.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $655.67 per instructional unit in the Fall/Spring/Summer and $300.00 per seminar course. This compensation package reflects the value we place on our instructors' expertise and dedication.
