Job Summary

ASARCO LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of mobile mining equipment in a shop and field environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mobile mining equipment, including CAT 793B, C & D haul trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance in the maintenance shop or in the field.
  • Execute, support, and enforce the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program.
  • Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and wear personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air conditioning systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a minimum of two years journeyman experience in mining or other comparable heavy equipment environment.
  • Good working knowledge of modern safety systems.
