Position Overview:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant will collaborate closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to deliver essential therapy services to individuals facing physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Your primary aim will be to empower patients in achieving their highest level of independence and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Compensation:
Starting pay is $35.00 per hour, with a maximum of $40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Occupational Therapist in assessing patients' physical, mental, and emotional states.
2. Develop and execute tailored treatment plans aligned with residents' individual needs and objectives.
3. Support residents in exercises and activities designed to enhance their strength, mobility, and coordination.
4. Educate residents on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technologies for daily living activities.
5. Monitor and document residents' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
6. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress.
7. Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents and their families.

Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
