Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Care Giver to join our team as a Support Specialist. This role involves providing compassionate care and assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and/or mental health challenges.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering individually-focused support, promoting independence in activities of daily living, socialization, community involvement, and expressing choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist in implementing individual plans and behavioral plan goals.
  • Update individual case notes daily with feedback regarding strengths, skills, and performance needs.
  • Help individuals develop appropriate social, behavioral, housekeeping, and daily life skills.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene.
  • Support individuals in pursuing recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and goals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle record preferred.
  • Must pass Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and drug test.
  • Possess or be able to acquire certification in First Aid and CPR.
