We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Build Meaningful Relationships: Develop strong bonds with our residents and their families, providing assistance with daily living activities, attending to individual care needs, and getting to know their unique preferences and personalities.
- Notify Management of Changes: Inform management of any changes in a resident's condition and recommend adjustments in their level of care and service as needed.
- Assist with Life Skills: Help residents with life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profile, blending a variety of multi-sensory experiences into their daily routine.
- Participate in ISP Development: Contribute to the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates, ensuring our residents receive tailored care and services.
- Ensure Community Compliance: Partner with our community team to ensure our community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotes Risk Management programs and policies, adhering to safety rules and regulations.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Respond to the dining needs of our residents and guests, maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.
- Encourage Independence: Invite, encourage, and assist residents in life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their ISP and demographic profile.
- Dedication to Serving Seniors: Demonstrate a passion for serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
- Positive Attitude and Flexibility: Possess a positive attitude, flexibility to perform various duties, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Education and Certifications: Hold a High School diploma/GED, and in states where required, maintain certifications.
- Age Requirement: Be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
- Decision-Making and Communication Skills: Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication, a level of understanding, and the ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident's best interest.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as competent organizational and time management skills.
