About the Role

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Lead to join our team. As a key member of our senior care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also leading and mentoring our care staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervisory Support: Take attendance at the beginning of every shift, manage call-offs/no shows, and send open shift messages and respond to shift requests.
  • Resident Care: Support team members as they provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents in accordance with their Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead by example, provide guidance and support to care staff, and participate in crossover meetings to share and receive pertinent information.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Accurately document care and services provided to residents, review care manager documentation throughout the shift, and ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies.
  • Communication and Conflict Resolution: Communicate effectively with care staff, residents, and family members, and prevent and handle conflict by working with the team towards a solution.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations. Medication Management Certificate required.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors. Demonstrates leadership competencies, ability to delegate assignments, and make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to remain calm in difficult situations, handle multiple priorities, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
