About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at St. Peter's Health. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, maintaining a high level of focus and attention to detail.
  • Ensure the operating suite is adequately prepared for each procedure, including the maintenance of PAR levels for all surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Clean and sterilize all surgical instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Handle medications under the supervision of the surgeon or nurse, demonstrating a strong understanding of medication management.
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity to effectively manage multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, and difficult situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide empathetic patient care and customer relations.
