Role OverviewThe Finance Manager will oversee all accounting functions including month end processes, preparing financial reports, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable.
This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for:
- Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions
- Preparing General Ledger Account and Bank Reconciliation
- Preparing financial statements and other reports to summarize the company's financial position
- Maintaining Accounting Policy database
- Assisting in preparation for internal and external audits
- Developing financial analysis and cost accounting skills
- Overseeing payroll and AP functions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP
- Three (3) years Plant Manufacturing experience
- Approximately 10% overnight travel
- May occasionally need to work evening or weekend hours
- Packaging industry experience
- AS400 experience
- Must have very strong PC skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel (advanced)
- Strong work ethic with ability to work with little supervision
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
