The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is seeking a highly skilled Public Policy Analyst to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that advocates for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for Immigration Reform: Collaborate with AILA staff and members to identify emerging issues and trends in immigration policy and law, and develop effective advocacy strategies to address them.
  • Develop and Implement Policy Initiatives: Design and implement policy initiatives to advance AILA's mission and promote positive change in the immigration system.
  • Analyze and Evaluate Policy Developments: Monitor and analyze policy developments at the federal, state, and local levels, and provide recommendations to AILA leadership on key policy issues.

Requirements

  • Education: J.D. or master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in immigration policy and/or general immigration law practice.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, strong research and writing skills.
