Grooming Technician

This role is responsible for enrolling and completing the Paragon training program, a 15-week virtual learning experience that educates students on the fundamentals of bathing and grooming, safety, pet first aid and CPR, pet handling skills, dog anatomy and physiology.

• Enroll and complete the Paragon training program within the required timeline of five weeks.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pet behavior, body language, and handling techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for pet owners and their animals.
• Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, and verifying vaccinations.
• Maintain accurate records of pet clients, including services provided and vaccination records.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work with dogs and cats, demonstrating patience and compassion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately, with basic computer skills.
• Physical stamina to move and transfer live animals, equipment, and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Exposure to sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, pets, and pet waste is expected. Ability to stand and maintain a stationary position for up to 8 hours while grooming animals is required.
