We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and support in a clinical setting, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care tasks, such as administering medications, collecting lab samples, and performing EKGs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 35 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and use fine motor skills to operate equipment and machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or other languages.
