This position is centered in Arlington, Virginia, where our commitment to quality and service excellence is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that guest service standards are consistently met and that any guest needs or concerns are addressed promptly. Collaborate with team members to model exemplary service and hold staff accountable for anticipating guest requirements and exceeding expectations. Develop innovative service programs aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and driving revenue growth.
2. Financial Management: Oversee expense management to optimize hotel profitability. Implement effective labor management practices through strategic scheduling and monitoring. Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives while adhering to procurement guidelines to maintain budgetary compliance. Assist in the preparation and oversight of departmental budgets, ensuring responsible management of company assets.
3. Team Leadership and Development: Evaluate team performance and implement corrective actions as necessary. Inspire and motivate staff by establishing clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing achievements. Responsible for the recruitment, training, and professional development of team members, ensuring adherence to training policies and maintaining accurate training records.
4. Operational Excellence: Attend departmental meetings to facilitate effective communication and planning. Manage all front desk initiatives with a focus on detail, organization, and leadership. Demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while adhering to established operational procedures.
5. Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of front desk operations to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all procedures related to guest and team member incidents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of guest service experience in a hospitality environment is preferred. Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.
