Job Summary

Mustang Special Utility District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our fleet operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our vehicle fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment.
  • Implement and adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and fleet management to prioritize and coordinate repair activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and vehicle mileage.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred.
  • ASE certification or Fleet Management Institute (FMI) certification highly preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
