As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee the quality function of the business unit by developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures that align with corporate standards and organizational goals. As part of the business unit Strategic Group, you will lead quality initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, procedures, and materials used in repair and overhaul operations while maintaining product quality and pursuing continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate, execute, and assess quality policies and procedures that align with company objectives. Oversee quality activities and resource allocation within the strategic business unit. Regularly review quality metrics (warranty claims, product corrections, customer feedback) to identify improvement opportunities across the business unit. Collaborate with the strategic group to select and manage continuous improvement projects. Develop and maintain systems for evaluating the extent to which quality goals and standards are achieved within the business unit. Lead and engage in quality audits and corrective action processes, providing training and guidance to achieve optimal outcomes. Support external audits from various quality organizations and conduct subcontractor audits in collaboration with supplier development. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and engineering teams to define quality requirements for products and services based on customer needs, ensuring quality considerations are integrated early in the design process. Oversee warranty processes, including investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-ups to promote continuous improvement. Gather and analyze quality data to identify trends related to non-conformance documentation. Assess and present information regarding business conditions, production capabilities, remanufacturing challenges, statistical trends, and proposed process modifications, with a focus on product quality and reliability during production. Research and review company procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. Stay updated on regulatory requirements and quality standards. Explore new quality methodologies for implementation in support of strategic initiatives. Exercise authority in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and employee relations for direct reports. Actively participate in management teams to assist in developing and achieving strategic plans, budgets, and objectives. Undertake special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong skills in planning, organization, analysis, leadership, interpersonal communication, decision-making, and both oral and written communication. Experience in a Part 145 repair station is essential. Comprehensive understanding of company policies, processes, and internal procedures. In-depth knowledge of airworthiness certification requirements and relevant regulatory bodies. Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality system standards. Knowledge of internal audit policies and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). Experience with production management software. Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or aerospace context. Authorization to work in the US is required.
