Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and driven Purchasing Coordinator to contribute to the operations of Chiyoda-USA Corporation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the progress of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
  • Execute purchasing tasks as required.
  • Generate purchase orders and distribute copies to vendors and relevant departments.
  • Assess order costs and allocate invoices to the correct accounts.
  • Authorize and process payments for invoices.
  • Stay informed about organizational and regulatory guidelines that impact procurement, providing guidance to staff and suppliers.
  • Evaluate inventory levels to ensure adequacy, placing orders for additional materials when necessary.
  • Inspect incoming shipments to confirm accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Engage with suppliers to arrange or expedite deliveries and address issues such as shortages or delays.
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze purchasing documentation, reports, and pricing lists.
  • Examine requisition orders for precision, terminology, and specifications.
  • Address inquiries from customers and suppliers regarding order status, modifications, or cancellations.
  • Track internal inventory movements and complete necessary transfer documentation for accounting.
  • Verify the accuracy of supplier invoices against bids and purchase orders.
  • Identify potential suppliers through catalogs and online resources, interviewing them to collect product information.
  • Oversee contractor performance, suggesting modifications to contracts when appropriate.
  • Prepare bid invitation forms and distribute them to supplier firms or for public posting.
