Position Title: Composite Technician

Shifts Required: Day

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p

Position Responsibilities

As a Composite Technician, your role will involve interpreting technical plans and blueprints while utilizing precision tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lay-up of fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, and similar materials
  • Cutting and orienting plies for layup
  • De-bulking and vacuum bagging of tooling and components
  • Potting and bonding various materials
  • Mixing resins and hardeners according to manufacturer specifications
  • Adhering to all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions
  • Utilizing work order travelers and manufacturing plans effectively
  • Meeting quality and production targets
  • Assisting with training or startups (travel may be necessary)
  • Complying with OSHA safety regulations and ITAR requirements
  • Performing other assigned duties

Required Skills:

  • Basic proficiency with hand tools (sanders, angle grinders, straight grinders, paint guns)

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with materials such as epoxy, fiberglass, carbon fiber, BMI, graphite, or Kevlar
  • At least 1 year of experience in vacuum bagging tools or parts, operating industrial ovens, and running autoclaves
  • General understanding of ply orientation

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
