About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in environmental health and safety matters. This includes developing and implementing environmental compliance programs, investigating environmental incidents, and conducting risk assessments to prevent accidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement environmental compliance programs that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and ensure that all applicable permits, policies, procedures, and regulations are compliant.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct EHS Internal Audits and prepares reports for area arrangement.
  • Develop and deliver EH&S training to employees as required.

You will also have the opportunity to travel between facilities up to 25% of the time.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Experience in designing and delivering safety training programs and sessions.
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high degree of flexibility.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to lead and resolve daily issues.
  • Ability to communicate and present clear, concise objectives to all levels of the organization while identifying and sharing risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office products, advanced Excel skills required.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30 and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) are preferred.
