The Legal Recruitment Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the daily functions of the Legal Personnel department, concentrating on various tasks and special initiatives related to Firm policies, legal staff remuneration, attorney programs, and budget management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates expertise in Firm policies and procedures pertinent to legal professionals;
  • Offers administrative assistance regarding policy dissemination and follow-up;
  • Supports the legal staff remuneration process by providing ad hoc compensation data as requested by senior management;
  • Conducts various analyses of Firm data, ensuring the accuracy of multiple Firm surveys and questionnaires concerning lawyer headcount and policies; collaborates with Business Development on written submissions;
  • Completes Firm and client surveys, including but not limited to, Vault, Chambers, American Lawyer, MCCA, NALP, Yale Law Women, and other surveys related to Diversity & Inclusion;
  • Contributes to the monthly review of the departmental budget and prepares analyses for year-end budget discussions;
  • Prepares invoices for Firm expenditures and processes incoming associate reimbursements;
  • Manages vacation policies for legal staff, including maintaining internal tracking systems, addressing inquiries regarding vacation balances, and providing quarterly reports to partner groups/teams;
  • Processes salary and employment verifications;
  • Coordinates applications for American Express cards, tracking, and distributions;
  • Oversees the coordination of the Firm's athletic and recreational programs;
  • Reviews estimates and invoices related to attorney relocations and maintains vendor relationships;
  • Assists the Immigration Attorney and Legal Recruitment Manager with the immigration process for attorneys as needed;
  • Supports the Legal Recruitment Manager and the Senior Project Manager in the administration of the Foreign Associate Program;
  • Collaborates closely with members of the Firmwide Legal Talent team on various associate matters and initiatives;
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Legal Personnel or a relevant service industry;
  • Ability to engage and interact with attorneys at all levels, gaining a strong understanding of the Firm's culture, practices, and policies;
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, coupled with superior judgment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal personnel databases (including PeopleSoft), with the ability to learn various proprietary legal talent and recruiting applications as necessary;
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously without compromising quality;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly;
  • Willingness to work additional hours as required.

This position is based in our New York office and currently follows a hybrid work model, subject to change.

The estimated salary range is $70,000 to $85,000, plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be determined by various factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and any applicable licensure or certification.
