Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and profitable operations of the meat department through sales maximization and team member growth.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
- Weigh, price, and label products.
- Stock cases and prepare valued-added products.
- Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
- Manage inventory and control product ordering.
- Meet sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets.
- Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety.
- Train and develop team members.
- Manage the department in the absence of the meat manager.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
- Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
- Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
