Responsibilities- Perform thorough preoperative patient assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Facilitate the efficient performance of surgery by coordinating with the surgical team and managing patient flow
- Provide postoperative care for patients recovering from general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care, including educating patients and families on discharge instructions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage of cases and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Document processes and procedures for quality control and safety, including bio-waste pickup, terminal cleaning, and supply management
- Collaborate with the consulting agency to ensure all staff credentialing is complete and up to date
- Perform quarterly peer reviews and submit to credentialing agency when complete
- Licensed registered nurse (RN) with current licensure in good standing from the Oregon State Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in preoperative and postoperative care, with a focus on aesthetic plastic surgery
- Current ACLS certification and strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to make decisions confidently in critical situations and provide excellent customer service-oriented patient care
