Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough preoperative patient assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Facilitate the efficient performance of surgery by coordinating with the surgical team and managing patient flow
  • Provide postoperative care for patients recovering from general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care, including educating patients and families on discharge instructions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage of cases and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Document processes and procedures for quality control and safety, including bio-waste pickup, terminal cleaning, and supply management
  • Collaborate with the consulting agency to ensure all staff credentialing is complete and up to date
  • Perform quarterly peer reviews and submit to credentialing agency when complete
Requirements
  • Licensed registered nurse (RN) with current licensure in good standing from the Oregon State Board of Nursing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preoperative and postoperative care, with a focus on aesthetic plastic surgery
  • Current ACLS certification and strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to make decisions confidently in critical situations and provide excellent customer service-oriented patient care
