The City of Bartlett is actively looking for skilled individuals to fill the role of Paramedic Firefighter.

Role Overview: The Paramedic Firefighter is tasked with executing duties as assigned by the commanding officer. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Providing advanced medical assistance as dictated by the Emergency Medical Services Division.
  • Engaging in firefighting and salvage operations.
  • Responding to rescue and public service calls.
  • Delivering other emergency services aimed at safeguarding life, property, and the environment.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Performing routine tasks and participating in regular training sessions.
  • Facilitating public education and safety initiatives.
  • Contributing to disaster preparedness programs.
  • Executing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current State of Tennessee EMT-P licensure in good standing without restrictions.
  • Certification as a Firefighter II by the Tennessee Firefighting Personnel Standards and Education Commission within five years of employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and hold a current unrestricted Driver's License for a minimum of one year.
  • Ability to maintain a current Driver's License, with a minimum Class D requirement.
  • Willingness to work 24-hour shifts.
  • Successful completion of a written examination, physical ability assessment, and oral interview process.
  • Passing a background check, driver's license verification, psychological evaluation, and physical examination, including a drug screening.
  • Preference for non-smokers.
