The Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to join our team. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Coach in overseeing a competitive NCAA Division III Women's Basketball program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Team Development:
    • Assist in recruiting student-athletes and ensuring compliance with NCAA guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan and conduct practice sessions and develop strategies for enhancing team performance.
    • Contribute to game preparation through opponent scouting and providing guidance to student-athletes.
    • Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive team culture.
  • Administrative and Operational Tasks:
    • Complete required training and certification programs.
    • Monitor team eligibility and academic progress.
    • Manage travel arrangements and coordinate logistics.
    • Facilitate the selection and maintenance of team equipment.
    • Assist with fundraising activities and maintain financial records.
    • Attend meetings and participate in department initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with NCAA rules for sport camps and clinics.
    • Perform other assigned duties within the department.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Prior coaching experience required, preferably at the collegiate level.
  • Skills and Certifications:
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills and willingness to work flexible hours.
    • First Aid, CPR, AED training certification required.
