Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the Accounting Department. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable documentation, generating invoices and credit memos, ensuring accurate posting of receipts, and addressing any discrepancies that arise. Additionally, this role involves supporting the A/R Supervisor in training new team members and supervising their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate the training of new staff and oversee the daily functions of the A/R team.
- Assist the A/R Supervisor with daily bank reconciliations.
- Process credit card transactions and manage approved refunds.
- Prepare and dispatch international documentation to clients and their logistics partners.
- Record customer payments in the online accounting system.
- Calculate and apply discounts on customer accounts.
- Investigate payment discrepancies and provide clients with proof of delivery and invoice copies.
- Resolve issues related to customer debit memos.
- Issue credits for returned merchandise.
- Generate invoices for shipments in a high-volume setting.
- Maintain organized accounts receivable and customer files.
- Perform various clerical tasks to support both accounting and human resources.
- Execute additional duties as assigned to enhance organizational support.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating discounts, proportions, and percentages, along with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business communications.
- Effective communication skills to present information and address inquiries from managers, clients, and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
