About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Collision Center in Hoover, Alabama. As a key member of our Collision Center, you will be responsible for identifying and performing necessary body repair work in accordance with factory and Collision Center specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine vehicle body damage to assess repair needs
  • Estimate repair costs and request necessary parts
  • Perform body repairs, including removing damaged parts and replacing them with new or repaired ones
  • Document repairs performed and maintain accurate records
  • Work efficiently to meet Collision Center and insurance company guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Participate in required training and stay up-to-date with industry developments

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher preferred
  • At least 5+ years of experience in body repair, collision repair, or a related field
  • Demonstrable knowledge of body repair methods and techniques
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to operate equipment necessary for the job
  • Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping and inventory systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

As a Body Shop Technician, you will be working in a fast-paced Collision Center environment, surrounded by experienced technicians and industry professionals. You will be required to lift up to 80 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in various physical positions. The job requires a strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to quality work.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
