Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
This is a full-time Maintenance Worker position with Satellite Services, Inc. The role involves performing general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in various trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and HVAC work. The ideal candidate will have three to five years' experience in general maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting.

About the Job
This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. The successful candidate will be able to read blueprints, building plans, and schematics; use a variety of power tools and hand tools safely; and maintain accurate records of work performed. In addition to technical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
The Maintenance Worker will perform the following duties: test and replace electrical receptacles, switches, and fixtures; patch and paint minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repair/replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets; repair/replace doors, ADA panic bars, and hardware; perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery; assist with parts, material storage, and inventory; develop training programs for teammates; and assist with general HVAC work.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three to five years' experience in general maintenance. A universal refrigerant license is preferred. You should also possess strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently with limited supervision, and maintain regular and acceptable attendance. Additionally, a government security clearance or ability to obtain one upon hire is required.
