About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pulmonary/Complex Care department at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Staff RN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to improve the lives of children everywhere.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach, assessing individualized patient needs and communicating care needs and priorities to assigned team members.
  • Plan, implement, educate, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices, utilizing Therapeutic Communication to monitor physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Engage in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and reporting important information and updates back to staff.
  • Document according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification. Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP and PALS certification as determined by your manager.
  • BSN; Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
