Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Gynecologic Oncology Specialist to join our team at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at VCU Health. The successful candidate will provide specialty care in gynecologic oncology to patients, including surgery, in- and outpatient consultation, chemotherapy, and in- and outpatient management of patients with gynecologic cancers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with gynecologic cancers
  • Participate in student and resident education, including teaching and mentoring
  • Contribute to the department's clinical research activities, including initiating and participating in clinical research projects
  • Serve on departmental, hospital, and university committees as necessary
  • Participate in department and institutional administrative activities as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of ABOG accredited fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology or its equivalent
  • Eligibility for medical license in Virginia
  • Potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency
  • Demonstrated talent and experience in teaching and commitment to research & patient care
  • BC/BE by the American Board of OB/GYN in Gynecologic Oncology
  • Robotics training in minimally invasive surgery is encouraged
