Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work as part of a team to provide care to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility
  • Document patient information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in staff meetings and complete assigned tasks
  • Assist with maintaining orderliness, cleanliness, and supplies in the business unit
Requirements
  • Certified nursing assistant (for new hires)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions
  • State registration (for new hires)
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)
  • Previous experience as a certified nursing assistant (preferred)
Work Environment

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work primarily indoors with occasional need to be outdoors. The role requires working continuously with and around others, and schedule fluctuation may occur due to unit and patient needs.

Physical Demands

The job requires continuous periods of standing, walking, bending, and forward reaching, with occasional periods of sitting. Ability to safely transfer patients and provide contact guarding or hands-on assistance is required.
